Getting to An Cala:
An Cala self-catering holiday cottage sits very near the sea shore in Port Charlotte, on Islay’s sheltered Loch Indaal. With its open sea views, fresh air and the constant gentle sound of waves lapping the shore, a holiday spent at An Cala is the perfect antidote to an often rushed and noisy world.

how to put google map on website

Driving or cycling to Port Charlotte from the  ferry port or airport is very straightforward:
Leave the arrival port, and follow signs towards Bridgend or Bowmore. Drive on to Bridgend and there take the signed turning towards Bruichladdich and Portnahaven, continuing towards Port Charlotte along the road which closely follows the shoreline. Pass through Bruichladdich village, and continue straight on to Port Charlotte.
Enter the village over a small bridge and take the first turn on the left at the Port Charlotte Hotel.  You will now be on Shore Street and An Cala is the fourth house beyond the pier.  The name of the house is etched in to the glass pane above the front door.

Travelling by bus.
Take the bus directly from the ferry terminal or airport and change in Bowmore for Port Charlotte.
